Please help: Vanderbilt vs. Mays [#permalink]

I want to go into consulting in the South. I am being offered a nice scholarship by Mays that would cover a big part of the tuition but I feel Vanderbilt has a greater brand name recognition and prestige. Any thoughts?

Where would you like to be located? I think Vandy would be stronger in the Atlanta area and Mays would probably be better in Texas.

Honestly my dream city to work in is Nashville but I would also love to to live in Austin if I did go to A&M. Eventually I wish to work abroad and move to Asia. I think this is were Vanderbilt has the upper hand since they have a greater brand name recognition internationally and would be able to open more doors.
I guess my real question is if there is really such a big difference between these two programs that would justify paying a much higher cost of Vandy. I believe so, but would love a second opinion.

I have family that live in Middle TN and Vandy has a very strong reputation there! Edit: Does Deloitte have a consulting presence in Nashville? I am interested in consulting as well and, from my research, it seemed like the only real consulting hub in the South is Atlanta.
