HI,
I/a a new meber and this is the first time t post a topic here. It's difficult for me so i hope to be helped.
tickets for all but 100 seats in a 10,000 seat stadium were sold. Of the tickets sold, 20% were sold at halt price and the remaining tickets were sold at the full price of $2. What was the total revenue from tickets sales?
there are five choices:
a. $15,840
b.$17,820
c.$18,000
d.$19,800
e.$21,780

Tickets sold = 10,000 - 100 = 9900

20% tickets were sold at half price which is $ 1. Hence revenue from this sale = 20/100 *9900*1 = 1980 dollars

rest 80% were sold at full price of 2 dollars. Hence revenue from this sale
= 80/100*9900*2 = 15840

Add both revenues to get = 17820!!
