The process of image processing is the method by which image signal is converted to physical image by using a photographic software.
(A) The process of Image processing is the method by which image signal is converted to physical image - Conveys illogical meaning as it states that "The process is the method" instead of "Image processing is a method"
(B) The process of image processing is the way that image signal is converted to physical image - Same error as in option A
(C) Image processing is the process by which image signal is converted to physical image - Correct
(D) Image processing occurs when image signal is converted to physical image - Image Processing is not an Event rather a Method, thus use of "OCCURS" is incorrect.
(E) Image processing, the process by which image signal is converted to physical image - It is a Fragment because no verb is followed by "Image Process". "The process............photographic software" is modifier, which modifies Image processing.

So the answer is C.

Hope the detailed explanation helps.

Updated the post with OA and OE, Nice explanation Fame,

Quote:
The process of image processing is the method by which image signal is converted to physical image by using a photographic software.

(A) The process of Image processing is the method by which image signal is converted to physical image

The use of both process and method makes a redundant repetition. Both refer to the same process and only one reference should be sufficient.

(B) The process of image processing is the way that image signal is converted to physical image

Same explanation as above, the only difference is the use of "the way" in place of "the method"

(C) Image processing is the process by which image signal is converted to physical image

Correct: this choice uses only one reference to the process and "process by which" is idiomatic an concise.

(D) Image processing occurs when image signal is converted to physical image

This choice expresses that image processing occurs as a result of converting. But the actual meaning expresses that the process is the converting into physical image.

(E) Image processing, the process by which image signal is converted to physical image,

This choice lacks the main. Incorrect.
