Dear all,
so I have just got my score and I am a bit disappointed as I need 107 and got a 106 splitted into 26,26,24,30 for reading, listening, speaking and writing.
I want to give you two advices: First, for the writing part, writing 300 words for the first question and 400 for the second question is just enough to score 30 points. Focus more on what you really write and use a bit less of words to structure your test => no awkward long sentence construction. My second advice concerns the speaking section. In fact, if you are used to speak fluently and freely in a convenient speed, do not focus on the templates+speaking slowly too much. That really broke my neck. I was abroad for several month and I have followed an economics related study in english since two years. I am used to speak fluently in presentations for more than 90 minutes. I tried to force the answers in the templates, but that made me stuggering a few times.
I will try it another time perhaps with some more preparation.

I personally think 106 is a very decent score. Congratulations!
May be you can try and convince the person/board who needs your score that a difference of 1 mark will not be a problem, especially since you have already got some experience of living in foreign conditions. Afterall, from what I understand, TOEFL is meant to judge whether you can survive, with respect to the english language, in foreign countries. Give it a go, that's what I would suggest anyway.

My target unis are oxford, cambridge and lse only. There will be no discussion

. One doesn't need to argue anything. You simply pay $80 dollars (are refunded if there will be the change in score) and request a rescore for either speaking or writing section or both. ETS stresses that your responses are given to graders and that they assess tbe answers without even having a clue that this is re-score. ETS doesn't give additional points.
