When the question said “at the time they plan to go,” I mistakenly understood it as “at the time they made the plan,” not the actual time they planned to visit the beach. I didn’t recognize my misinterpretation and instead continued with my understanding since Statement (1) “on the morning and in the afternoon of the day of their planned beach outing” reaffirmed my misinterpretation. How could one avoid falling into this trap?

Understood that the word "believe" seems to be sketchy, but when I did this exercise, my interpretation was that "Well, they believe in the weather forecast, so they will decide to go". I thought it was enough to answer the question at hand. Now, whether the weather does not turn out to be what they expected, I was not sure if I needed to care for that part but at the time when I read statement 2, my instinct was that yeah, they believe in the weather forecast, so they will go. Anyway, good video explanation as always!

Can someone assist me in understanding why my interpretation of "it is sunny without rain at the time they plan to go" is wrong?

To me, the syntax has double meanings, it could suggest that this means at the time they're planning (such as if they're planning in the morning, at 9:00am), if the weather is sunny at 9:00am they will go.

For me, a clearer way of saying what the question intended to say is it is sunny without rain at during the next evening"

I had the same interpretation too, but I still got the right answer because it is not confirmed whether they made the plan in the morning or afternoon - hence I marked both A and B insufficient
