I'm only doing the quant section of the real test. I'm using the MGMAT 5 guides for preparation. So far I've completed Number Theory and FDP. I'm wrapping up Equations, Inequalities, VICs in the next day or so. I'm thinking of skipping Word Translations, and doing Geometry next, and then do Word Translations. I've resisted doing the GMATPrep test so far, but I'm really curious to see how I would do on it. When should I start taking practice tests? I haven't scheduled the GMAT yet, and only plan to take it when I'm "ready," but I want to take it soon.

By the way, I'm working all the quant problems from OG 12 and QR 2nd. I also finished my MBA in the Spring, and took the GMAT 2 years ago. Therefore, I'm familiar with the test structure, so I don't really need to do it just for the experience of actually having taken a CAT. I just want to start gauging what level I would score at. Thanks for any advice!
well you should take it when you want to know how far you have progressed. You could wait till you are done studying the subjects then take it. after that you could look at errors and focus on specific problems.
