I'll second MBAGirl on the fact that Emory does care about their students. I still haven't made up my mind (I'm actually leaning toward CMU), but Emory has treated me like family since my interview back in last October. Christmas time, they sent out cards signed by the admissions office. They took their NY area admitted students out to Brunch or Dinner last sunday, both the head of admissions and one of the deans of the B-school were there, as well as a half dozen recent alumni. I went to the dinner, and they had 13 admits there at a pretty nice place. I believe they had a similar event for the DC area as well. A good friend of mine is a student in their 1 year program, and I asked him if they're this nice to their current students. No hesitation on his part: Yes. Whatever I end up deciding, I will feel like Emory cares about their admits/current students more than mosts schools in the top 30. It's really a shame that they don't place as well with hedge funds as CMU does. (I also think that I'm a bit biased because I just got into CMU, and they haven't had time yet to have these events with me)

LetsGoMets, Congrats on Emory and CMU! Tepper seems to be stronger for Finance/IB hopefuls. If you don't mind, could you post your profile.

I'm not going to turn this into the Kellogg board (where everyone seems to ask what's your profile). Please see this link http://gmatclub.com/forum/2010-profiles-w-admit-dings-results-no-discussion-78475-60.html#p654223 for my profile I forgot to write it in my last post, congrats MBAGirl!

I just found out today I got waitlisted at Emory...Can anyone tell me what is the admissions Yield at Emory? The most recent stats would be nice.. My GMAT is 610, and that's what really hurt me in my admissions, however I believe I had a strong interview. Does anyone have an idea whether I have a chance be enrolled?

I actually think this is going to be the toughest year for admissions. If the stock/job market tanks, expect apps to pick up again, but my guess is that next year will be a little easier. I think what was meant about asking for feedback is "why don't you call the admissions board/contact your interviewer and ask them for some feedback", not ask this message board for feedback. None of us have seen your application.

Thank you for the support, guys! After the Evening program admission, I just found out I was accepted to the 1yr program as well with $$ (evening program scholarships are not announced till April). I am still waiting to decide, but I'll likely be at the Welcome Weekend Friday / Sat . PM me if you're going as well.

I'm flying down to Atl tomorrow for welcome weekend. For those not going, I'll post highlights (probably from a finance skewed point of view).
