vishalsh, Emory does not send interview invites. Everyone is interviewed - you just need to e-mail / call admissions to schedule your interview.

Hm, I had no idea there is a special case. Make sure to reach out to the Adcom if you are still in doubt. I know February 1 is the scholarship deadline for all full-time programs.

Guys,
I am thinking of applying to Emory now.Am I too late?I mean if I apply now,is the probability of me getting selected is very less(in ur opinion).I am from India and I would not be able to schedule an i/v as 20th ,25th and 28th--the dates that they are in India are working days and traveling to Mum or Delhi wd just not be possible for me as I have recently switched my job,so cant take leaves rt now.

In the light of these facts.Do u think it makes sense to apply now.Or shall I instead focus my efforts on some other college? do lemme know ur opinion.

I am not sure what "recommended international deadline means"

Emory encourages international applicants to apply by mid-December because of Visa handling and because the school has limited rounds of international interview trips by adcom. If you apply later than that you risk not getting a hub interview or not having enough time to prep your visa (the one year program starts in May).

I'd say, give them 8 weeks. That is how long they report it takes.

I submitted my app a couple of days before round 1...and was interviewed during Super Saturday on Oct (before submitting my app)...

Have you guys attended any events? When I log into OPUS, it listed my previous class visit, but not my Super Saturday event. I'm almost curious if I should contact the admission office to add this to my profile. It would show my interest in the school?

I'm currently waitlisted and want to show them my strong interest in the program. Would you guys re-attend Super saturday?

Hey guys, I am still writing essays for Emory. :roll: Do you, guys, know whether I can write an optional essay apart from 4 required essays? Did any of you write an optional essay to explain your low GMAT/GPA for example?

When I click on "view your events" in Opus, I see 2 attended events (campus tour and info session) from the spring of 2001. It is pretty interesting because I was in highschool at that time. It just came to me that I applied to Emory for undergrad and I actually did visit.

I went to Super Saturday and made that clear throughout my essays. But I don't see my Super Saturday event in there either.

If I were you and on the waitlist, I would call them to make sure they know.

I went to Emory a few times in the past 3 days. Today's super saturday event was very good. Still don't have a decision yet on where I'll attend (or if I'll be going to b-school at all), but left Atlanta with a lot of confidence in their program.

Man, I had no idea you would be there as well. I was there at Super Saturday today and it was interesting. I definitely left with more confidence about the program. Which sessions did you attend?
