I've scheduled my interview for Thursday at Panera Bread. It's an alum interview. Any tips on if slacks, shirt, sweater is OK or should I go with the suit?

I would always ask the alum if I could wear a suit, and they will usually tell you what they expect. That's the safest way. :)

Mmm, Panera Bread...

So I should ask COULD, not SHOULD?

also, does anyone have a link to the Kellogg 2008 thread? There was a collection of 2008 school threads but I cannot seem to find it anymore.

good luck getting those apps in for R1, we had much more success in R1 than R2 last year.

As far as formatting the essays go, is it OK to Justify or should we stick to Align left. It reads much more cleanly with Justify. Is there a set of published guidelines with regards to Word documents and Essays? :?

You know, i think as long as it's legible, either Justify or Align Left is fine. Personally, I prefer Align Left but that's just me :)

For formatting, Kellogg requires their essays to be double spaced. Also reading various threads about Kellogg - seems that most people tend to keep font size between 10 and 12.

hope this helps!

Question about transcripts: for the purpose of the app, is uploading an unofficial transcript sufficient? Or do they need a scanned copy of the official one?

thanks!

By unofficial transcript I meant a self-reported transcript in the excel format that some schools use. I thought Kellogg had that excel thing too but can't find it :(

For anyone else wondering, I spoke with Kellogg today - they require either a hard or scanned copy of the official transcript. They won't take any alternatives.

Is there a separate scholarship application that needs to be submitted prior to an admissions decision? From the website it seems that all admits are considered without a separate application. Is this correct?

FYI I will be attending a Kellogg info session tomorrow evening (Wednesday @ 7pm Pacific) and would be happy to forward questions along from any GMAT Clubbers. Just PM/reply if any particular question is burning away at you :P

I will also post a summary if anything of great importance is discussed that hasn't already been covered here.

If you get in you will get an app for scholarships...its a simple application though so dont worry about that. I think you are considered for the major ones (the name scholarships, full/half rides) when you get admitted but then the merit/need ones come out with your financial aid package. A lot of us on here last year got 5-15k. While something like 10k isnt huge it makes a nice dent. I have been surprised with how many people got something, it seems like Kellogg likes to give money to a lot more students than other schools.

ah... submitted today. I used self-reported version, since the scanned version is really hard to read, because my school put logos all over the page on the official one. Should I mail them the official transcript then? I thought usually those are submitted after you get an admit. I'm confused.
