Stanford tops the list: http://www.ft.com/intl/cms/s/2/faacbfd2 ... z1ktxOHIia

Again, how HKUST is top 10 is still beyond me. And, I still think it's one of the worst MBA rankings.

US News, BW and Forbes (for ROI) are all better than FT imo.

Well MBA rankings are what they are. But each publication has its own methodology on how important a certain category is, so that would explain why one school is ranked higher than another in any publication.

I agree, novanative.. Everyone does it a bit differently. I like P&Q personally, since they average out the top rankings..makes the most sense to me that way.

To me, the two rankings I like the most are US News, because that seems to be the general standard on what schools Americans think are best (and I'm an American).

The second ranking list I really like is Business Week, because it gives detailed GMAT breakdowns for not just the incoming class, but also the applicant pool.

The only thing I don't know much about right now is what this year's MBA cycle will look like.. Fewer folks applied over the last three years or so to full time, but part time programs have remained stable or moved up. Online programs are growing a lot because they are relatively a new concept at legit schools. The only noticeable trend I see right now is law school, where a lot fewer people are taking the LSAT now, but then again, there could be some pent up demand from people who took the LSAT from two years ago or so who feel this year is their time to apply and have a good chance to get in.

My problem with P&Q is how heavily they use BW rankings, although this year they weighted it the same as US News. If I remember correctly, the founder of P&Q created the BW methodology.

US News seems to be the best guide for how difficult a school will be to get into - although it's largely self-reinforcing I'm sure.

BW is the best source of information about programs, but a lot of the ranks given seem inappropriate. I do love the student comments - and from my experience, they seem to be exactly what I gather from visiting and talking with current/previous students.

Based off some quick calculations I did earlier that I’m not claiming to be error-free, the just released Financial Times rankings should cause a little bit of movement in the cumulative GMATCLUB Fulltime MBA rankings. (I only looked at the Top 20, not all the way down)

Chicago Booth down 1 to 3rd
Stanford up 1 to 2nd
Dartmouth Tuck down 1 to 9th
Northwestern Kellogg up 1 to 8th
Yale SOM down 2 to 15th
Cornell Johnson was tied with YALE for 13th, now tied for 12th with NYU Stern
Michigan Ross up 1 to 14th
Carnegie Mellon Tepper up 1 to tie for 16th with UCLA Anderson
& Texas McCombs up 1 to tie for 18th with Emory Goizueta

Not that any of this matters in the least.
