On any given Saturday, flights arrive to XYZ airport every hour for 24 hours. If the average number of flights arriving at XYZ airport on any Saturday is a multiple of 12, is the total number of flights that arrived on any Saturday ?

On the same Saturday, the median number of flight arrivals every hour is 17.
On the same Saturday, the highest number of flight arrivals in an hour was 30.

a.Statement (1) ALONE is sufficient, but Statement (2) ALONE is not sufficient
b.Statement (2) ALONE is sufficient, but Statement (1) ALONE is not sufficient
c.BOTH statements TOGETHER are sufficient, but NEITHER statement ALONE is sufficient
d.EACH statement ALONE is sufficient
e.Statements (1) and (2) TOGETHER are NOT sufficient

Correct ans is A. But not convinced with the explanation given.
can someone help me out by providing suitable solution?

average number of flights is a multiple of 12

therefore, there may be 12 flights, 24 flights or 36 flights (all even)
In a set with an even number of items, the median is odd

for example: the median of 2 and 4 is 3
for example: the median of 2, 4, 6 is 4
whenever there is an even number of items, and since all the numbers are even, the median has to be odd

the question was posted incorrectly

the question asks is the total flights > 180
