What are your goals? I could see taking Fuqua for "prestige" non-energy jobs or McCombs for Texas or energy jobs. No offense, but I had to look up what and where Simon even is. I'd suggest choosing between Duke and UT, personally.

Re: Simon ($$) vs McCombs () vs Fuqua [#permalink] 24 Apr 2013, 12:01 1 This post received KUDOS exactly what kingfalcon said. What are your goals and how important a factor is the money to you? I'd probably also drop Simon from your list as I don't think the ROI would be nearly as great as the other two. There is quite a significant drop in ROI once after about the top 20 schools. Texas places very well, and all of the top companies recruit there. The main difference between Texas and Duke is that Texas is more of a regional school so more companies will be hiring for their texas offices. Duke will have more national recruiting, and it has a little more prestige. I voted for Texas simply because I think you should go ahead and pay the Texas deposit and hold your spot there. Like I said I'd drop Simon. If Duke accepts you on the 10th, then you'll need to figure out what your goals are, and whether the money from Texas outweighs the step up in prestige of Fuqua. Definitely don't forego paying the deposit at Texas with the hopes that Duke accepts you. Round 3 can be pretty tough to crack. McCombs wouldn't lock you out of anything, but it would require a little more footwork for certain companies. Now keep in mind top tier consulting or banking jobs will be tough to land no matter where you are. Plus the scholarship money is a nice draw for McCombs. The difference between Simon and McCombs, on the other hand, will likely be quite drastic. I don't know much about Simon, but I saw it is ranked 37th by US News. Anything in the top 50 will be ok but you will severely limit your recruiting opportunities compared to the other two schools. If you get admitted at Fuqua, it could be a difficult decision to choose between Fuqua/McCombs based on your career/life goals but Simon is not even within the same league. by the way, you say you've pretty much made up your mind already, what are you leaning towards?
