I got 740 (Q50 V40) on GmatPrep on my 1st full practice test. I thought i was doing most quant correct (a couple were doubtful) but mis-calculated some and got 6 wrong!

I couldn't comprehend the sentence of the very 1st Q of Verbal and got it wrong! got a total 8 wrong and managed 40 in verbal! incidentally all 8 wrong were SC, and I got a total of 17 SC Qs! I don't what's the usual no. of SC qs

earlier i got Q49 in 800score (didn't take verbal) and V33 on MGMAT (didn't take quant)

What could be read from these scores? I have the GMAT on Nov 2! I plan to take 3 more practice tests!

Hi rajadi.. One of my friend wrote GMAT on Saturaday and got score of 741( Q48 V 42 ). His scoring pattern in GMAT preps was similar to what you have mentioned. If your target score is aroung 740-750 then you are in safe zone. You will score the same in your actual GMAT as your GMAT prep numbers are showing.

I would like to hear more from you about your expirence in verbal section of GMAT preps in terms of how many questions your are getting correct etc.

All the best for you GMAT.

Hi prashantbacchewar, many thanks for the information, it really helps in limiting stress levels...

As for verbal, in prep 1 I got 8 wrong, all SC in which there were a couple where I got continous 2 wrongs. A total of 17 SC were there, i even got the first one wrong!.. in prep2 I got 5 wrong, 3 SC and 1 each in CR & RC. I got V44 in prep 2

I am posting my progress and remarks at: 10-days-before-the-gmat-103450.html

The clock is ticking.

I've have already scouted the gmat test center, and it's definitely helpful to come on test day in known territory.

Thanks guys, I promise I'll come back with good news.

Just a little question. People talk about updating the mba.com profile, what is that? And how to report the scores to my target schools as I can't bring any paper with the schools' code in the room, is there a search engine as the end of the test?

There is a search facility at the beginning of the test not at the end.

Hi!

Thanks for your messages. Now is the big day. I managed to get a good sleep last night so everything will be running smooth. I'll do a few OG12 to get my brain warmed up before going to the test center.

Hi all!

And the result is... drum rolling... 710!

Q47 77%
V40 89%
710 92%

I didn't celebrate yet, I'm leaving that for tomorrow's Halloween party! It's going to be hot 8-)

I have a lot to say, I'll prepare a detailed post for tomorrow.
