OA is A. Here is the crux : for example.. earlier, 100 ppl travel and 10 died. now, 200 ppl travel and 11 died.. does this statistic mean that air travel has become more dangerous than earlier.. ?
I agree with A but not with the above reasoning. A clearly points out that increase in no. of deaths is due to "different" reasons but not due to collision alone and hence we can't consider air travel is dangerous simply on the basis of collision. If the argument did not stress on 'collision', surely A is not a choice because in that case it strengthens the argument.
Author says the air travel is increasingly becoming more dangerous than it used to be in the past.
Option B and E strengthens the arguement Option D is out of scope as we are only taking air travel into consideration Option C - Given the tone of the passage, this can be ruled out because of its comparision between air travel and other transportation media. Option A - With the increase in air traffic every year, the percentage of total deaths to total number of people commuting may or may not increase. This does not automatically prove that air travel has become dangerous. Correct answer
