A wildlife expert predicts that the reintroduction of the caribon (will fail/would fail)if the density of the timber wolf population in that region is greater than one wolf for every 39 sq miles.

Cant say the exact reason. Anyone who could explain the reason to me.

ALWAYS USE "WILL" FOR PREDICTIONS. This is one of the few rules that I have not seen being violated.

I thought you should use WOULD for conditional statements?
When do you use WILL and when do you use WOULD?

Will -- Future tense from the point of view of present
Would -- Future tense from the point of view of past

Clare will be five years old next month.
He said he would see his brother tomorrow.
