I just gave my GMAT and got 760. All done and now i will start applying. I just want to share the following sources with other GMATers as i used them and found them great. All these allowed me to prepare on my own.
1) OG ( good) 2) Kaplan Verbal & math (great) 3) Kaplan 800 ( good) 4) Practice tests from [link removed]- recommended by friend.
Make sure than you use these resources well and i can ensure that you will get a good score in GMAT.
wont it be a good idea to make it compulsory to post a snapshot of the un-official report card we get after GMAT. Many a times we end up asking advices to wrong people just because "THEY SAY" that they have scored 880( ) in GMAT.
Something similar happened with me , someone told me that he used McgrawHill book and it did wonders , its just great. Without asking anyone else , I started working on this book , and after a week or so , I found the book was crap . At least the book was not as good as the guy mentioned. So , I decided to take advise from BB and thats when I realized that I had already lost a week working on that book.
I we have some proof (not necessarily public) for the scores , we may be sure that the guy has really improved his verbal from 27 to 40 and its worth talking to him regarding the tricks he used.
