(1) ⏐mod (x + 1)⏐ = 2 mod (x - 1)⏐
(2) ⏐mod (x - 3)⏐ ≠ 0

St 1:
(x+1) = 2(x-1)
X = 3
(x+1) = -2(x-1)
X = 1/3

from (1)

x=-+3
OR
x=-+1/3

so (1) not sufficient

from (2)

x!=-+3
so (2) not sufficient

using (1) and (2) togother,

x=-+1/3
in any case mod (x) < 1
