Last Sunday, October 17, 2010 I took my first GMAT practice test using the GMATPrep software. My results were:
Total: 480
Q: 27
V: 28

I am an undergraduate student due to take the GMAT April 2011. My target score is 700+. Here is my plan.

Materials:
1. OG 12
2. Kaplan GMAT Premier 2011
3. 8 MGMAT Guides
4. GMAT Club Tests
5. Error Log

November 2010: Focus only on verbal 2-3 hours per weekday and 5 hours on the weekend using the MGMAT Guides.

December 2010: Focus only on quant 2-3 hours per weekday and 5 hours on the weekend using the MGMAT Guides. At the end of December take my 2nd practice test.

January 2011: Repeat the same thing as Nov. 2010

February 2011: Repeat the same thing as Dec. 2010 and use GMAT Club tests.

March 2011: Work through the Kaplan GMAT Premier and questions in error log.

April 2011: Sit for test at the beginning of April

Does this sound like a solid plan to secure a 700+ score? I am also considering taking a prep course? Do people often attain a 700+ score without taking a prep course?
