Hi,
I want to ask that , if during exam we are behind the timing in verbal section - say leaft with 15 ques in 15 min then is it a good strategy to skip one RC passage because it can give us 7-8 min and then we can focus on other question.
Experts please respond
3-4 (or more) questions wrong in a row is not a good idea at all - that too toward the end of the test. GMAT may punish you severely and you will not have the luxury to climb back.
You need to practice going through passages quickly. It's acceptable to guess on one question if you feel it is too complicated and will take too much time but skipping an entire passage is not a good idea. If a couple of days before the exam you find that your speed is still not up to the mark, ensure that you bank time early on when you feel lost. Say, after a quick read of a CR question, you realize that you did not really get it, it may not be a bad idea to guess and move on. Do this for 3-4 questions and you will have extra 7-8 mins.
Read this excellent post for more on this strategy:
