The Data Insights section of the GMAT Focus measures the ability to analyze and interpret data for real-world business scenarios. It consists of 20 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 45 minutes, covering various question types like Data Sufficiency, Multi-Source Reasoning, Table Analysis, Graphics Interpretation, and Two-Part Analysis. Scores range from 60 to 90 and are based on factors like the number of questions answered, correctness of answers, and question difficulty. It's a crucial part of scoring linearly on the GMAT Focus exam.

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to have an opinion regarding the DI section, especially MSR questions.

I usually skip these 3 (MSR) questions and try to answer them at the end. But sometimes I feel answering 3 questions wrong initially hurt my score badly. So what should be the better strategy flagging them initially and trying to come back later or solving these questions in the first go only and guessing some of the last questions?

Any help would be deeply appreciated.

I don't advise flagging them in hope of coming back to those questions because the reality is that test takers are hardly finding enough time to finish all questions in time so the plan of coming back to those questions seems far from possible.

I think you should know your strength and weakness. Usually the MSR question set comes as Questions 5-6-7 and the accuracy in 1st quarter is considered very important so I would suggest that you should spend some time on the question set and find which questions type you can answer correctly (you will have this idea from mock test performance). Answer those types of questions which you can get right and save time on those which you often get wrong (if saving time here is important to finish the questions at end which is very much possible and normal)

Late response it is, but I hope it answers your questions.

Don't think of guessing them in first go in hope of coming back. Just solve them at first you come across them. :)
