Hi isnt pay on entry also satisfying the question as the person is not presenting id card
anushridi IMO, here is an easy way.
We need 1 of the last 3 end results but we need to reach that end result with the help of a 'NO' route because the second blank has to be filled with a 'must not have' option.
'Ride free' is reached by 2 paths and both are YES paths - eliminate 'ride free'.
'Pay on entry' is indeed reached by NO paths, which we need.
Yet the problem is 'Pay on entry' can be reached by any of the 2 NO's - both these NO paths are correct then.
However, we need to select only 1 option so we can not pick both 'boarded between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm' and 'boarded at a university stop'.
Eliminate 'Pay on entry'.
That leaves us with 'Pay on exit'.
So, we'll be able to lock 'Pay on exit' to fill in the first blank.Furthermore, how can we reach 'Pay on exit'?
Out of 3 options:
1. 'boarded between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm'
2. 'presented a valid university student ID'.
3. 'boarded at a university stop'
NO route of option 1 and option 3 takes us to 'Pay on entry' while our destination is 'Pay on exit', which we fixed above for 1st blank.
That leaves us with the correct option 2.
Thus, effortlessly we can lock 'presented a valid university student ID' to fill in the second blank.
