Waitlist applicant form last year. If its any consolation, I received my interview invite on the day of the deadline last year. However, I was subsequently wailitsted through summer and then denied. Keeping the hope alive.

Does anybody find it odd that only 25% of GC members have been extended an interview invite so far? Is Wharton interviewing less people this year or are we due more invites? From what I gather, this group on GC is a very good snap shot of the overall applicant pool, if not slightly better. For eg. About 40-45% GC first round applicants have interview invites at booth. Hopefully we see more invites from Wharton before the D-day..

Based on some of the other comments on here, maybe both? They may be interviewing fewer people this year since they have less bandwidth by no longer using alums to interview. And from historical information, there probably will be more invites to come. Otherwise they'd just make the mid-decision day today.

I feel like there have been less Wharton invites than HBS ones so far...
I think more are probably coming tomorrow and Friday.
How do you know that only 25% of GC members got invites? A spreadsheet? I don't think I put my name on any list and I got an invite.
Still, like I said, I am pretty sure more invites are coming.

If you update your profile on GC, it automatically updates the spreadsheet on the first page of the each schools roll call for 2014...I assume that a majority of the people on here do that.. Maybe I am wrong, but like I said, Booth's spreadsheet shows a ~45% invite rate, which seems close to te rel number... Nyways... Here's hoping...

That's really cool. How do I update my profile? I clicked on update but only put my gmat score. What else do I need to do?

My Profile > Schools > Add Wharton/your other schools. Then set your preferences to show up in the list.

Thanks. I just added the schools. How do they know I got an invite though? I didn't state it anywhere. Sorry if I sound dumb, I'm just curious as to how this goes automatically to the spreadsheet.

Go back to the schools section and click "edit" next to each school. you can enter your status there, ie. submitted, ding, invited etc.

It turns out I wasn't using the advanced profile! Just upgraded and I can see it already upgraded Wharton's spreasheet.

Hmm.. I would say a sizeable number of invites will go out in the next 2-3 days till 11th. I had read on poetsandquants.com that Wharton releases almost 25% of invites towards the end. Since, they usually invite 40% of the applicant pool and assuming that GC members are representative of that pool, this means that atleast 10% of GC members will get invites in the coming days. This correlates very well with the current percentage of invitees which stands at 25%; so there is scope for another 10-15% which translates to roughly 20-30 GC members !
Best of luck guys.

If it's true that Wharton is releasing most of the invites towards the end, why are most (if not all) of the international interview slots filled? You would think they could predict demand/invite success better than apparently is the case.
I'm just banking on the fact that Wharton figures they can wait til the end to invite local candidates like me...

I am applying to r2, but still i dont understand the "logic" behind all this. if X school is offering 20 interviews in country Y, then why arent they offering 20 slots in that country. who is doing the math! how can you not predict the number of slots per country correctly! sounds just stupid

There doesn't seem to be a logic really.
Nobody really knows what's going on with Wharton interview invites this year.
I personally called admissions and they said there won't be any more slots on hub cities. How are they going to invite people then? Well, they already invited me with no slots left.
It doesn't make sense.
