(A) of being dwellings that must also operate as businesses
(B) of dwellings that must also operate like business
(C) that they are dwellings that must operate like business
(D) that, as dwellings, they must also operate like businesses
(E) to be a dwelling that must also operate as a business
I am confused between A & B.Please explain.

A - being is meaningful. as is preferred here. operate as businesses (do). like should be used to compare two nouns.
also in B dwellings is compared with business( singular)

Hi guys, IMO D(A) of being dwellings that must also operate as businesses being(B) of dwellings that must also operate like business I think the fail here is using business in singular(C) that they are dwellings that must operate like business I think it sounds wordy(D) that, as dwellings, they must also operate like businesses hold(E) to be a dwelling that must also operate as a business I think it sounds wordyOA and Source? Thanks

Comparison is between 2 functions of Cooperative apt houses-one as dwelling and one as business
as -also means in the "capacity of"
I work as a librarian
B., C and D eliminated
Since cooperative houses are plural, choose A
