If -1< x <0 or x >1 then which of the following must be true about x :

1). |x|>-1
2). x>-1
3). x>1

A. None
B. 1 only
C. 2 only
D. 1 and 2
E. 1,2 and 3

can anybody check this question and tell me , why the answer cannot be D.

statement 2) I know is correct but I think 1) is also correct , can anyone show me why 1) cannot be true

I actually agree with you. I don't see how an absolute value is not greater than a negative number
