Essay 1: Two situations of importance to you
- Situation 1 (maximum 1230 characters)
- Situation 2 (maximum 1230 characters)
Essay 2: Failure to reach an objective
- Please comment on a situation where you failed to reach an objective and what you learned from it. (maximum 1230 characters)
Essay 3: Leadership
- Describe a situation where you had to demonstrate strong leadership skills. Explain how effective you were and what you learned. (maximum 1230 characters)
Essay 4: Describe yourself
- How do you imagine your superior would describe your strengths and weaknesses to someone who does not know you? (maximum 1230 characters)

I am thinking of applying but need to retake GMAT before that ... prev score was in mid 600  ..... I am originally from India, living in US for 8 yrs now .... have MS in Electrical Engg, 5.5 exp in Avionics domain, good GPA, decent to good EC .....

Hi all, started work on my IMD application for R2. The first essay question has me stumped. What would 2 'situations of importance' typically mean?? Would appreciate any responses fellas ! Meanwhile, all the very best to all applicants.

Dont know if its a function of the number of applicants, but even the IMD 2011 forum also had only 12 pages of entries. Guess most ppl mite be waiting for the US bschools / INSEAD / LBS etc final results before applyin to IMD. In that case, R1 and R2 might be of advantage. I'm currently working on my essays, shud be sending in the application by mid March. cheers, and do keep posting.

Best of luck for your essays mate.... I think it's not dead, just very few people apply to IMD. According to BW it was 496 submitted applications. BTW I have not received any news yet. If you know any other thread about IMD, just share. Ciao.

Hi,
Indeed, not many replies here. But IMD is a niche MBA, not a factory, so quite normal I guess.
I got a reply pretty much early 3 weeks after the 1st deadline. I will attend the interview 1st Round this month.
What are the news on your side?

I'm sorry @iceman1 With your age (I'm 31), forget about any MBA program apart from IMD or Cranfield or maybe IE, and having said that, I think the GMAT won't help as much as improving in any of the other areas of the application. Have you considered Cranfield?
