If I install the new GMAT Prep test program, will it delete the old GMAT prep on my computer?

Anybody know if the question bank(s) are completely different on the new GMATPrep from the older one?

Questions are same. this is from FAQ section of mba.com

"The new version of GMATPrep® is significantly different but the underlying questions are still the same (with the exception of 15 new Integrated Reasoning questions)."

Anyone try out the Integrated Reasoning questions? Any impressions? Is the 12 questions in 30 mins a time crunch?

The FAQ says that "Question Pack 1 contains 404 questions and answer explanations that are unique to GMATPrep® - they are not available in any other GMAT® exam product."

So, if you have the OG12, maybe its better to buy this question pack instead of the OG13!

Hi Everyone,
Just to let you know, I have downloaded the software n will keep you updated..
A minor update - I have downloaded it and both the older one as well as the new one GMatPrep are working :-). It means the newer version works as a standalone application.. the only thing I noticed that I didn't get the Desktop icon for the newer one..but that's OK:-)
Thanks
H

Great ROI suggestion - Yes!
Esp if you live outside of the US and shipping costs more and takes longer.

That is true. If you want to have the book in Latin America in a week or less, the shipping cost will be higher than the cost of the book itself!

By the way, I think it would be useful to add a new tag in the forums for those questions from the Question Pack 1 (one can guess that there are probably more packs coming in the future). They could have the GMATPrep tag, but an specific tag will help to narrow the search afterward. Maybe GMATPrepQP1? Or just QP1?

For those who don't mind reading on computer, you can digitize your OG13 using this https://1dollarscan.com/
Save a ton of shipping cost for those outside the US.

Could someone clarify a few questions:
- Is the 'old' GMATPrep question bank sill available?
- Is there any overlap between the 'old' question bank and the OG 12th?
- Is there any overlap between the 'new by default' / 'new Pack 1' / 'old' and OG13?

As far as the ROI, I would completely agree:

OG13 - 208 new problems for $23 (+ shipping) from Amazon
81 Quantitative (45 PS +36 DS)
77 Verbal (27 RC + 25 CR + 25 SC)
50 Integrated Reasoning (on a 'companion' website?)
+/- $0.11 per question (not accounting for any shipping)

official-guide-13th-edition-initial-assessment-129154.html
new-mgmat-s-analysis-of-new-official-guide-13th-edition-129376.html

versus

GMATPrep Pack 1 - 404 questions and answer explanations:
200 Quantitative, 180 Verbal, and 24 Integrated Reasoning
for $25 (no shipping needed)
+/- $0.06 per question
https://www.mba.com/store/product-info.a ... uctID=5025

> How are the answers explained in GMATPrep? Is it as detailed as in the OG or only a list of correct answers 1 A / 2 E / ...

I am planning to post screen shots and daily update on questions as I work on the question pack 1. But posting a screen shot of the solution page might be illegal.

Agreed - maybe either grayed out. I am mostly interested in the response format. Is it detailed or does it only gives you
the correct choice without any explanation?

Don't really understand how this would work...
They are digitizing (for a modest fee) books you own. You ship your copy to them, they digitize it, send you the files and recycle your books.

> If you are living overseas - you would have to pay for shipping - twice.
One time From Amazon for example or any other book seller.
A second time back to the digitizing company.

Are you suggesting to have your brand new book shipped directly to that digitizing company from the bookseller?

Yes send the book straight to the company and a week after digitizing they will recycle it, so customer won't receive the physical book as such, could be a problem for MGMAT books with the online access codes.
