Most of the top i-banking firms recruit from the top 20 schools, so your goal may be a bit out of alignment with your plans. If you are comfortable with regional i-banking opportunities, that would better fit with schools in the 20-30 range, still considered "top tier" by the industry for sure. As an example, you could apply to Emory's Goizueta school, generally found in the middle of the 20-30 range in the rankings and have i-banking opportunities with B of A or Wells Fargo or Suntrust. If you are looking for Morgan Stanley or Goldman Sachs, you would need to beef up your profile and go for a top 10 school like Duke or Cornell or Stern. I think your profile is in alignment with your goals. It is certainly realistic to find a school in the 10-20 range with 3 years of WE (four when you matriculate) and a 690 GMAT. Your application pool is deep but don't let that dampen your drive especially if you have a unique story to tell. You might consider a couple schools in the10-20 range as a reach. For example, Keenan Flagler at UNC is a fine school and is just 8 miles from Duke, so many of the buldge bracket i-banks recruit at UNC since they are already coming down for Duke. You can investigate other schools with similar proximity advantages. hope this helps.
