Hi All,
I am writing this debrief so that it helps fellow member. I gave my GMAT this Saturday at Delhi's dwarka test center, my exam started at 6 pm. While giving my exam , 10 minutes into the verbal section a large marriage band started playing below the center. The center was located at the 3rd floor(top floor) of a multistory building. There is no sound proofing or any such thing , the sound of music was so loud that i had to close my ears while giving exam , some 15 minutes after the center gave my ear plugs but even that was of no avail. The sound was just too loud , it felt like a joke giving the exam under such circumstances . Marriage band kept playing choicest of songs during the entire verbal section. I closed my ears with my hand.During the entire exam i felt as i am sitting on a roadside and giving the exam , there was constant sound of car honking and dogs barking. I didn't even check my scores and came back disgusted. I was actually giving GMAT second time , i had given one 6 years earlier with score of 720.
I am not sure how Pearson can select such a center , i am going to file an official complaint and ask for a retest. A 250$ dollar fees should at least ensure a basic testing environment. The conditions at the test center violated all the basic test taker rights. I am not sure how GMAC is going to react to my complain but if they check audio /video recordings they can see me closing my ears and giving exam. All in all it was a very poor experience and this kind of thing is totally unacceptable.
Please try and avoid this center guys.
Thanks,
Any idea about morning slot ?
