Explanation:
A) Typical GMAT type of error. X is Y so then Y is X. Wrong because Y can be for other reason than X
B) Cannot be since masterpieces ARE influenced by other works of litterature
C) Nothing about writing that are not intertextual and their relationship to other writings is mentioned
D) Only thing inferrable
E) As long as a work of litterature is written in response to another writing, whether or not it is from a writing that accurately mirrors social reality, it is considered intertextual and thus, clouded as a mirror of social reality

1. A writing is intertextual if it does not mirror social reality (given A --> B)

The contrapositive of the above is
2. "If a writing is not intertexual, it reflects social reality"

But E is the converse of 2, or the inverse of 1, in which case it may or may not be true.
