The AWA is scored separately on a 6-point scale and doesn't factor into the 800-point scale.

If you want to get your essays graded while you're prepping, I would do one of the online prep courses that includes that service. Even the cheapest Princeton Review course ($99) offers that. It's worth it if you're not really sure about your writing skills.
