I am reaching out to you to take your expert advise on one of HBS MBA essay questions for entering class 2011.
There is a question which reads as "What would you like the MBA Admissions Board to know about your undergraduate academic experience?"
Does the applicant have to focus only on the academic (class room) aspects of the undergraduate experience or can he highlight the overall experience including extra curriculars, leadership positions held, sports, friendships etc. I would want to highlight on everything except acads. Now I have reached out to hbs adcom over email but they did not respond (rather sent a generic email). Inputs from various current students/alums are mixed - some say it should be primarily acads and leadership/teamwork should be in that context, and some say it can be anything.
I even referred to your blog - but could not get clarity on the 'focus on academics part'

Thanks in advance!
