X+Y could be 3,9+0,1 and 2,1+1,9 so A) is insufficient to answer the question.
Same for B)
Even when combined A) and B) can not provide a solution to the
problem
when X+Y=4 and X-Y=1 then X=2,5 and Y=1,5 so the ans should be E)
