26. V, W, X, Y, and Z are all positive integers. W is greater than 5 and smaller than 15. Is median greater than 8?

(1) (V-8)(W-8) > 0
(2) X = 2W = 5Z = 10Y

(1) (V-8)(W-8) > 0
(2) X = 2W = 5Z = 10Y

5<W<15

1) the value of v & w can be greater than 8 or if value of w=6,7 then v<8
This is insuff

2) x=2w
z=2/5w
y=1/5w

Now since all these are integers w should be a multiple of 5. Hence w=10
x=20
w=10
z=4
y=2
Here the value of V is imperative to understnad the median
Hence insuff

but 1+2 suff. median is greater than 8. Hence C

value of v is greater than 8 from statement 1 since the second condition is not applicable.
