Admissions Consulting Reviews

You have questions about admissions:

  • Selecting schools: Where should you apply? What are your chances at top schools?
  • Understanding your admissions profile: How can you make the most of your achievements and distinctive background?
  • Overcoming weaknesses: How can you overcome negatives in your profile? How can you distinguish yourself from the competition?
  • Long-term planning/positioning: Is business school the right decision for you? What other programs should you consider?

Accepted’s staff collectively has nearly one hundred years of admissions experience, and we are more than happy to share that with you. To start, we'll match you with one of our consultants and you'll send over your resume and academic information. You'll discuss your personal background, goals, options, extracurricular activities, community service, and concerns and weaknesses with your consultant, who will guide your approach to the application process.

Incredibly supportive coach + mentor

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

I worked with Natalie on all parts of my application (essay brainstorming, essay editing, resume, short answers, interview prep), and she was an incredibly supportive and helpful.

Her methodology for brainstorming and pulling content/themes together for essays was so helpful. She was supportive and gave me the confidence to share my full self in my apps but was also honest and direct when I needed to be pushed. She builds strong personal relationships with her clients and truly cares about their success both in MBA applications but in their careers and lives going forward.

I'm headed to Wharton in the fall on a merit-based scholarship, and Natalie played a huge part in helping me get here.

The biggest variable in my application

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by membership [?]

I truly believe Accepted has been the most important variable in my application, I knew very little about business school applications and in only 2 months Jamie taught me how to highlight my strengths while conveying a clear goal in the application, how to research the course and university and prepared me for the interview. Two of the questions we practiced in the mock interviews have appeared identically in the actual interview! Jamie was always so professional and when my application started falling behind schedule because of my hindrances she always returned my drafts on the same day to make sure to meet the deadline.
I honestly feel so lucky to have worked with Jamie Wright and highly recommend her to anyone who is thinking of applying to MBAs and masters.

Cindy is the best

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I worked with Cindy for application to EMBA in the last round, primarily for essay editing and interview coaching. Cindy returned my work always fast and with high quality. I've been working with other consultants before but she is the best admission consultant I've ever worked with, not one of. Very inspiring, attention to details, thorough thinking and professional editing. During our several times of phone conversation, Cindy's advice has been proven to be strategic and very helpful. Her advice on my preparation to my interview was extremely to the point. I'd love to recommend all my friends and/or colleagues to her service!

Review for Natalie

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

Natalie was very encouraging throughout the process and provided some great ideas, as well as honest criticism, throughout the initial parts of my essay writing. My initial essay was absolutely horrendous, and Natalie was polite but still direct about what needed to be worked on.

Though I had another consultant for a school package, I still went with Natalie for a few hours of consultation, and I am very happy with my choice. I would highly recommend Natalie for anyone who does not feel 100% confidence in their essay.

I ended up getting interviews at 5 out of the top 10 schools and will be matriculating at one of HSW.

Great service at a great price

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I stumbled across Accepted one night and was amazed by the amount of quality content free of charge. Linda's short Q&As about different program eligibility, articles on various parts of the admission process, posts about different members of AdCom teams--Accepted is a tremendous resource. And then I met Jen Weld. Jen knew exactly what I was looking for and how to get there. She is incredibly astute so she’s not only able to give one the information you need, she gives a ton of advice in areas you wouldn’t have even thought about. Besides an being incredible source of knowledge and experience, Jen is a wonderful person to work with. She is kind, authentic, passionate and funny. Jen encouraged me to apply to my top choice and I believe I got into Columbia EMBA 2020 thanks to the support from Jen, Linda and Accepted!

Michelle - Accepted Admissions Consultant

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

Michelle took me from a completely blank slate to three well-crafted essays for my Columbia Business School application. I started out thinking that my application was undifferentiated, but Michelle helped me draw on my experience, and asked probing questions to find unique points in my story. She then helped me find my "voice", and write about my experiences in a clear, concise manner. Michelle was also helpful in taking an 800-1,000 word essay and helping me keep all the points I wanted to make, while cutting the word count down to 500. She helped me focus on the clear actions that I took that would stick out to the admissions committee.

I would highly recommend MIchelle to other applicants. Michelle is very well versed in the CBS admission process.

The Very Very Best.

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

What can I say? I absolutely could not have survived this journey without Natalie. Her guidance throughout the whole process was second to none. I really enjoyed all of our conversations and I could not be more appreciative of her continuing support. In the end, it all worked out better than I could have imagined. I got admitted to my number one choice of USC and it was largely thanks to Natalie. She was highly accessible and we were able to create a plan to succeed together. She made me feel very comfortable and I always felt confident about my chances of getting into my top choice.

She is, by miles, the very best out there. Would recommend her to any/everyone I know who is looking to apply.

Fantastic Experience! Highly Recommended!

Madelaine is awesome! Getting into a top-tier business school is no easy feat. As a reapplicant, I was unsure how to best present my story and essays. Madelaine’s expert insight and detailed feedback were instrumental in enabling me to gain acceptance to Columbia Business School! Simply put, I could not have done it without her. Madelaine was a true joy to work with and genuinely cares about her clients. I also found the frequent webinars from Linda Abraham, Accepted’s president, to be extremely helpful during the application process. I highly recommend Madelaine and Accepted to anyone applying to business school!

Thank you, Jen at Accepted.com

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

I am writing to very enthusiastically recommend Jen Weld at Accepted.com. In our first project together, Jen helped edit my resume and application essays. I appreciate how the end products were my own experiences, ideas, and words made better through her honest and direct feedback. Jen also coached me through two mock interview sessions. In these sessions Jen prepared me for the types of questions that I would face, provided coaching on timing and content, and gave me the confidence to perform in the real interviews. Jen also answered numerous questions about the admissions process. Her experience as a member of the admissions committee at Cornell provided excellent insight into how the AdCom will receive my application. I strongly believe that Jen’s guidance and coaching significantly contributed to my successful acceptance to the MIT EMBA class of 2019.

While evaluating several MBA admissions coaching services, I was attracted to Accepted.com because of the great, free content on their site and by the initial free session with Jen. I appreciated the chance to speak with Jen and establish rapport with her before plunking down money.

Best MBA consultant, ever!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

Jennifer has been a great support to me during the application process. I would like to call out her resume edits specially, she helped me shape my resume into one that was crisp and yet very effective. She helped me think through my experiences and articulate them to convey the message I wanted to in the finest form. She was very responsive and was supremely professional. She was a keen listener and had great eye for details. She has been patient throughout the process, and her calmness often gave me the strength to stand strong during the application process :) I would highly recommend Jennifer and the services of Accepted and Linda, to all the applicants.
