Hi,um being in the presence of such hard working intelligent individuals..sigh...n writing this
SOS post is so shameful
..il try to get to the point...sum facts bout me:
1. i live in pakistan
2. first time EVER writing on ANY forum, have been going thru this site for a few days n finally got enough confidence to write
3. been an below average student. frm 8th grade onwards completely sucked at maths, always required a private tutor to help me pass atleast, hence i screwed up the most important years of my life.a simple multiplication w/o a calculator would take me forevr, point being ihavnt done maths w/o a calculator for almost a decade.
4. im
23 yrs old now with 0,nil,null,void work experience whatsoever.
5. horrible study habits.intelligent but never worked hard in my life, hence in this miserable situation.
more relevan stuff:
1. YES i ACTUALLY AM an mba aspirant as well
*dies of shame*...
2. im trying to get my life back on track, its my last chance,im depressed most of the time
3. if you guys will telme to quit now while u can..iwont..so much at stake for me..
4.hence the GMAT.some one recommended
PR's cracking the gmat..im almost done with the arithmetic section...and i realised how much il hav to REALLY work my a** off to make a mark..
5.
ihave less than 3months for some unavoidable reasons to take the GMAT6. math kinda scares me esp geometry ithink its a reasonable insight towards my miserable situation...
my Questions??
1. ihavent taken any practice test yet, should i take it first now? a complete one?
2. my aim is to get done with it by
end pf sept,ihavnt registered a date,should i first now?
3. icant afford to buy so many of these books, ineed some recommendations for the most essential books il need, which book should i go thru first, esp keeping in consideration the sorry state of my quant skills
4. i am going to fight,i wil giv the amount of time required to achieve this.im out of options anyway
5. my gmat score aim is 600+..ahem
6. there is a tuition academy "The PRINCETON review academy" something..their course duration is 6 weeks for GMAT prep.2 classes on sat n sun of 3 hours..they r charging approx. $285 for the entire course including course materials/notes etc they will provide..do u guys recommend it in my situation?
iknow this post is detailed, boring, miserable etc,but i only got encouraged to write seeing the amazingly helpful attitude of some of the users esp "BB"...taking time out an bothering to help out people...yes this post might sound like iwant to be spoonfed but honestly,im clueless and in dire straits of immediate help/advice...ijust dont want to make any wrong moves in this short time n just use the best w/e or where evr it is..
S.O.S PLZ ANYONE...xtremely gr8ful if icould get a quick response..tyy!
P.S. il appreciate if anyone while recommending me the best books, also gives a few alternatives to them in case they arent available here.im sorry if this post is lengthy..total shiny glossy newbie to any forum..
