I think it'll definitely be around showcasing your independence (not afraid to question the status quo) and your leadership successes. So your success as a musician, entrepreneur, etc. The other thing that will be critical is to have a compelling career narrative that ties your past, current and future careers together.

HBS/GSB are going to be long shots (though not necessarily impossible...), so I would concentrate more on programs like Kellogg, Michigan, Berkeley, etc.

Totally hear you about the lower tier U.S. programs - it's not for everyone. But if you do try for top ten only, I would suggest you be prepared for the possibility of not getting in anywhere. Not trying to discourage you at all - definitely think you should give it a go - just want to be sure you set your expectations.
