in your first post, you say that you were expecting 700+...if you think you can get your score up there without much additional study time (had a bad day the first time or something), you'd def have a much better chance. but you're in no way out of the running since your score is in the range.

but if you think you can only raise it 20-30 points, that won't add much to the app...in that case it would be much better to spend the time on essays. in either case, since your # months of work exp is less than the avg, i think the schools will be very interested as to why you're applying *now*, so you may want to be sure to clearly articulate this in your essays. just my $0.02.
