Fantastic score. Based on all the excellent help you gave me on the math and verbal boards when I was studying, I was sure you would do well.

Thanks everyone.

I am still undecided if I wanna go part time or full time. Im in IT and while I dont want to change my industry, I want to move towards management. Besides age might work against me (I am 30 now).

If I go part time I would like to apply to Michigan, Ann Arbor, U Chicago and Northwestern since I live in the midwest and my company is headquartered in Chicago (I could move there).

I know this has been asked a million times on this site...but could you give any insight as to how/what helped you with SC problems? I'm scoring well on Quant but lacking in the Verbal and I'm a native English speaker..../sigh My exam is in 6 days... i'm gonna give it a go but I'm willing to take it again if need be. I don't have access to the Manhattan SC book but if I need to take the exam again I will order it from Amazon.

Any tips/advice much appreciated!

I think most people on this forum agree that the Manhattan SC book is a must have for the GMAT exam.

Some native speakers do not work as hard on verbal as they do on quant. Perhaps this is because they feel they should not have a problem since English is their 1st language. Much to their dismay, they find out on test day that GMAT english is very different from everyday English.

I neither intend to say that your verbal is not up to snuff nor am I assuming that you belong to the above category. But if you are, you would be better off reassessing your standing in verbal and may be delay the exam until you work through the Manhattan SC guide.

Actually, you nailed it. I'm one of those unfortunates who just recently realized that my English is NOTHING like GMAT English. Oops! Problem is that I take the exam in 6 days so it's too late to delay. If I underperform and find that my Verbal score is quite low, then I will give the test another go. But for now, since I do not have the Manhattan SC book, I'm relying on practice and these forums so hopefully I'll pick it up quick....

Thanks Guys. Mishari, I did not post anything about my prep because I sincerely cannot add to anything that has already been said by others here.
This is the prep material I had:
