thats an awesome score!
can u throw some light on preparation of RC.
jai

In my opinion, RC strategy is pretty personal and differs from person to person. I have tried many different strategies in preparation ranging from skimming the passage, reading just the first and last sentences, reading the whole thing carefully etc.

At the end of the day what I found worked best for me was to jot down quick key words / phrases that I came across. A lot of times you will not even refer back to your notes but it serves the purpose of solidifying your understanding of the passage because as you write stuff down you end up remembering better / and having a higher ability to put things into context.

I would say go with what works for you. I am not an expert when it comes to RC...as I mentioned in my writeup, I do honestly HATE RC! and I tend to have trouble getting myself to do / study things that I generally dislike. Therefore I would probably say my weakest prep was in RC and also the reason why I got a V40 instead of a higher score which could have been possible.

Best of luck!

Congratulations sebycb976!!!!! Great effort and a result that compliments it.....

Regarding the Gmatter, do they contain the same questions as that of the 1000 Questions (from Q and V)? and by the LSAT CR you mean the soft copy (LSAT CR bible) that has been floating in esnips?

Good luck on your essays......You are all set to go for round 1 :)

Thanks Leonidas...cool pic by the way, I love 300!

Gmatter has the same questions as the 1000 SC, RC and CR. That being said there is also a new file for CR that you can download that has 2054 questions. Some of these are also LSAT type questions which test a different logical aspect than the GMAT CR but still good practice.

I believe there are a number of good CR books out there. I bought a hard copy of the Official LSAT guide which also had 3 past real tests. I found the CR to be pretty easy after that (but I was doing well in the CR from the beginning). I believe there is also a Powerscore CR Book which is 300+ pages but which I hear will get one close to 100% hit rate after you go through it.

here is the link to the GMATTER..make sure you also download the 2054 CR questions file and load it up. Each section comes with two files. The first contains exactly the OG questions, the second is a collection of questions from other sources. There are no explanations for these, which is unfortunate, and a couple of times I felt the OA given was questionable, but all in all great practice!
