A train crossed a man standing on a platform, 300 metres long, in 35 seconds and the platform completely in 55 seconds. What is the length of the train?

Its A..
let the length of train is x and speed is y then by distance formula x/y=35 tht is y=x/35
now x+300 /55 =x/35 by cross multiply x=525

A bit late but I concur with A - 525
Length of train is 35 sec. which is the time it took for the train to pass the standing man. The 300m platform is equal to (50-35) 20 seconds.
If 20 seconds equal to 300m, then 35 seconds(length of the train) is equal to what? Just cross multiply and you get 525m
