Admission to B School [#permalink] New post 28 Jun 2013, 08:57
Hi All..
I am currently working in a MNC and having 2 yr of experience. I am preparing to give GMAT next moth, but I didn't think I can score greater than 550. So I just want to know is there any B school that will allow me for admission.

Dear P,

No mean to be negative, but 550 is very low for any Tier 1/Tier 2 School (despite your background)
When are you planning to start your MBA?
In case you are planning to start this year and you haven't submitted your apps yet, you are already late. In case you are planning to submit your apps for the 2014 intake, you still have some time to improve your GMAT.
If I were you, I wouldn't chose a school based on my GMAT score. Of corse is an important factor and you should be realistic to where apply but by no means you should chose where to apply based on your score. An MBA programme is too important to do so!!

Look for a school that suits you (including a realistic GMAT score!) and focus on achieving that score, but in all cases you should be thinking in at least 600.
Hope this helps!

Hi Parth,

Seems that you have already given up. Dude, you need to score at least 650+ GMAT to be able to apply in b-school(s). It’s achievable if you start your preparations soon and devote 2-3 hours everyday. However, 550 is too low for applying in good b-school(s). You may get admit but then you’ll face challenge in finding a good job. Therefore, I would suggest you to target 650+ and then start your application process. Meanwhile, try your chances in b-school(s) by clicking http://www.apphelp.co.in/Bschool-selection.htm

Let m eknow in case of further questions.

Regards
Erina

Unlikely if you are aiming for a top-50 ranked program.

Best,
