Advice needed [#permalink] New post 28 Oct 2012, 22:49
Hi,

This post is to solicit advices/suggestions.

I am a working professional in Sales(11 years) and desire to do my PhD in CB from a reputed college in US. I have prepared for GMAT after taking time out for my work schedule and my family commitments. I have scored 630(Q47 V29) on my GMAT last Saturday. During my preparations also, i was hitting the same score in GmatPrep and Kaplan mock tests.

Ideally speaking, I would like to retake the exam but have a time contraint as intend to take admissions in Fall 2013 session. I still have to take my TOEFL, prepare my SOP and work on the recos and transcripts during this period.

Accordingly, please suggest:

1. Is it realistically possible to increase the verbal score in a month's time(cant postpone my GMAT beyond November)
2. What are my chances of getting into a decent school(please suggest names of schools) if i can make up my low score with an above average SOP.
