getting an email to say your acceptance hasn't been received isn't fun.

It all looks OK - I had been in touch, emailed copies of the fax (a pdf of the fax alongside faxing) and yet somehow it got lost.

I don't think I will sleep that easy till this is resolved.

I will be studying with Johnnyx next year (NYU).

It is just such a fret to get something like that. I had to wire funds to them as all the methods (dollar check, credit card (mastercard only) or some US only method) didn't work.

So I spoke to them to find out how to wire funds, wired them, faxed the wire confirm, and emailed a pdf of it to them.

Something has screwed up and they are being all nice about it. But I am now locked out of the admitted students site, and have an email wishing me every luck in the future and expressing their disappointment I won't be going!

Horrible! I am sure it will all get sorted tomorrow, but it was gutwrenching.

Well, within the hour they seem to have dealt with it (note to all - PDF faxes if you have one of those smart fax-copier-email things), though I am locked out of the admitted students website for the meantime.

I can only guess that will get sorted, or I will just badger them to reinstate it tomorrow.

rhyme - heart-attack was near it. I snapped quite badly at Ms 3, as she was offering far too relaxed advice in this deathly stress-scenario!

I'd have a heart attack too. Despite the mistake they made w/ your documents, I've been thoroughly impressed with the responsiveness and efficiency of all the admissions people at NYU. I'd be very surprised if they don't sort this out quickly for you.

Good luck. I think the problem is gonna solved quickly.
I was in a similar situation before, and it was no big deal.

That must have hurt.

I had a near miss, too, as the deadline was approaching and some required items in the checklist were not clearing. I sent an e-mail, they said they were swamped and would look into it, and next day: voila! everything'd been sorted out.

But I understand how you felt.
