This is my approach, please correct me if I am wrong.



Constructed with the finest Italian marble, the floor of the church is its greatest attraction and is more attractive to tourists than are its ornate windows.

attraction, itself more attractive to tourists than are its ornate windows I miss a verb after itself
attraction, itself more attractive to tourists as are its ornate windows I miss a verb after itself, as is wrong
attraction, being more attractive to tourists than are its ornate windows being is always wrong
attraction, and itself is more attractive to tourists than ornate windows wrong comparison

A is best. B,C,E are not clear if 'itself' refers to fine Italian marble or the floor.

D is wordy and awkward.
