Maybe I'll decorate like an undergrad, put up some Xmas lights around the windows, super-glue beer bottle caps to the walls.

Econgirl - You're in Philly already? For some reason I thought you were in NY. That's great, I would love to not have to move.

Just remember to settle in nice and comfy. You don't want to feel like you're going to school and living in a motel.

Although it would be good prep for a career in MC

I'm on the other extreme end of this thread. Cramming most of the things that we value into a five cubic meter conatiner to be shipped over a week before I head home. Then gotta rent a U-haul and buy my buddy a case of beer to give me a hand with maneuvering all of it into a tiny two bedroom place.

GMATT73 - I'm curious, how much does it cost to ship something 5 cubic feet halfway around the world?

I got a small dorm at HBS. I'll be moving via a long distance flight, so my stuff will be pretty much limited by the 50lbs luggage cap.

Lepium - I've seen some of those dorms. Even though they're not exactly huge, the beautiful rolling lawns and overall awesomeness of the campus will keep you from getting too claustrophobic.

Unfortunately NY isn't quite the same. Every time I visit there I get this itch to see a horizon or at the very least to get away from buildings.

I will be leaving most of my stuff here in storage. I'm just going to take what I can fit into my car, and possibly ship a few cartons (about $50 for 70lb. via Fedex ground I think).

Depending where I get in I wont be going anywhere. If I end up somewhere in Boston my wife wants to keep our house, since she likes her job and doesn't want to leave unless she has to. Though I am not sure how an hour and a half commute is going to go over with me.

$2000 w/pakmail. That's from our front door to Tacoma port, insured.

My wife needs her own office. Not to mention it's gonna take another room to store all of her shoes!

Most airlines will let you get away with 100 pounds if you can prove to them that you are a starving student. Seriously.

Cool! I'll check it out. Although I'd be travelling on Freq. flier miles, so some additional restrictions may apply...

cheers. L.

Thanks
