Can someone please suggest good resources,books for tips about flow,structure, things to avoid etc for application essays?

Check out precisionessay.com. That site has essay analysis and breakdowns for a variety of schools and essay questions. Also, you can google sample mba essays to see how others have structured theirs. It might spark some ideas. HTH.

Essay Snark's blog is my personal favorite source for great tips on essay writing. Read it all from the very beginning. You'll be better for it.
