are 2013 scores valid for 2014 applications [#permalink] New post 08 May 2013, 20:13
Hi there,
I was thinking of taking the gmat some time this year after I have studied and I'm well prepared, however I am concerned...would my 2013 results still be valid for a spring or summer 2014 application? Or is this time too early?

Thankyou

yes, your results will be valid for 5 years from the date of the exam, so you are just fine!

P.S. If you are taking 4-4.5 years in advance, that makes the scores a bit stale but just a year or two is no issue at all.

Good Luck!

GMAT score is valid for 5 years and majority of the universities in the world accept the scores for 5 years. However, certain universities consider the scores within last 1-2 years. For example, few IIM's in India consider score within 1 year and few IIM's in India consider score within 2 years. So, it is better to check on the university's rules, especially if the university is not in USA.
