An international development organization, in response to a vitamin A deficiency among people in the impoverished nation of Tagus, has engineered a new breed of millet high in vitamin A. While seeds for this new type of millet cost more, farmers will be paid subsidies for farming the new variety of millet. Since millet is already a staple food in Tagus, people will readily adopt the new variety. To combat vitamin A deficiency, the government of Tagus should do everything it can to promote this new type of millet.
The author claimed that a new type of millet which has high amount of Vitamin A is already a staple food in Tagus, which will be adopted by people and to combat vitamin A deficiency, the Government should do everything to implement this new type of millet which is flawed. The author not only represent a vague and ambiguous amount about vitamin A but also presents invalid interpretation about to combat the deficiency of Vitamin A.
Write a response in which you discuss what questions would need to be answered to decide whether the recommendation is likely to have the predicted result. Be sure to explain how the answers to these questions would help to evaluate the recommendation.
The author claimed that the new type of millet which has a high vitamin A which is vague and unclear. He didn't explain that the amount of vitamin A in this new type of millet is high among all others sources of vitamin A like rice, meat etc. Is the promotion of this new type of millet will occupy all demand of vitamin A?
The author also claimed that millet is already a staple food in Tagus and people will readily adopt this new variety which not clear. He take investigation on how many people about the adoption of this new type of millet and how many people readily adopt to this new variety there is no clear evidence. Is all the people will adopt this millet which have lacking of vitamin A?
For which government should do everything. By doing everything to promote this new variety of millet will fulfill the lacking of vitamin A of all people?
So, there are no sufficient evidence so that the government should do everything for this new millet. If the author could give the answers of the above questions, then it's fruitful by doing everything for to promote this new type of millet.
