At cross-roads in pre-MBA career - advice needed!

I'm at a cross-road in my pre-MBA career and want to seek advice on the best option that would put me the a position to get Harvard/Stanford.

I enjoyed a startup VC fund last year after investment banking experience. After a year, the fund raising process is still ongoing and we've been acting as investment bankers for entrepreneurs in the meantime. I also have the opportunity to join a well-established middle market fund that most people know of them. Let's assume the rest of my profile is on par with typical H/S applicants. Should I stay at my current position or leave?

I think being in a startup as appeal to bschools and makes a great story, but there's a chance the fund raising process drags on and we keep doing advisory work, but still working with founders of companies, etc. The new fund wouldn't set me apart as much as a startup will, be will ensure entry into the VC world which I know bschools like. Any advice? Thanks!
