Best Month to Take GMAT [#permalink] New post 06 Aug 2005, 07:38
Can you tell me whether it is better to have my application in by the fall or spring deadline? I could use a little extra time studying for the GMAT, and the spring deadline would suit me much better. However, I also want to have the best possible chance of getting into the schools I apply to. Please advize.

The best time to take the GMAT is when you are confident you will get your highest possible score.

Regarding application submissions and timing, remember Linda's Rule:

Quote:
Submit in the earliest round possible PROVIDED you don't compromise the quality of your application.

If you are ready, you want to aim to submit by the January deadlines. It is usually harder to gain acceptance in the February and later deadlines, especially if you are applying from outside the US to US schools.

Good luck!
